'''Attack of Opportunity''' is an [[Attack]] declared as a '''Reaction''' (it is never used in the Active Role).

* When an activated enemy moves in a way the reactive player suspects brings it within their Weapon's [[Reach]], the reactive model may declare a Reaction at that point of the movement and make an Attack of Opportunity. This can prevent the enemy escaping your Reach.
* It requires '''Line of Sight''' to the activated model. After declaring, the reacting model measures Reach: if the enemy is not within Reach, the Attack has no effect.
* It may be '''Melee''' or '''Ranged'''. Once declared, even if it fails, the model cannot switch to a different Reaction this Sequence.
* A Ranged Attack of Opportunity while the enemy moves toward the reactor that then declares a [[Melee Attack]] triggers a [[Confrontation|Confrontation]].
* If the reactor declared [[Dodge]] or [[Perceive]] and has LoS to an enemy that Attacks while [[Shrouded]] or [[Flying]], it may switch that declaration into an Attack right after the enemy's Action Step.
