[edit | edit source]When casting a Spell, a Mage may spend an unspent Activation Point to reroll any number of dice. In the Active Role, a Mage may convert any number of their Activation Points into Mana Counters (1:1) and place them in their personal pool. Mana Counters are cumulative and do not disappear at the end of the turn.
Vitalists can cast Healing-Type Spells on allied models that are not in the Incapacitated or Dead State without having to perform a roll.

Glossary of Terms Used in Spellcrafts
[edit | edit source]| Term | Description |
|---|---|
| AoE | Area of Effect — the Spell affects all models within a defined area rather than a single target. |
| Armor-Piercing | When making a DMG roll for a Hit with this Trait, add only half the target's ARM value. |
| Bleeding | At the start of its Activation, the model suffers 1 Hit (no roll). Removed by Regeneration or healing. |
| Blinded | The model has no LoS (except to itself) and may only declare Assist, Dodge, or Nothing. |
| Burn | If a model suffers at least one Wound with this Trait, the attacker performs extra DMG rolls against the target with ARM = 0. |
| Casting Aura | The Spell is targeted within the caster's Casting Aura (a special range measured from the caster), rather than a line-of-sight range. |
| Focus | Spells or Items with this Trait do not require a target model when declaring Attack or Assist. |
| Poisoned | During each Strategic Phase, the model must perform a T roll with a −6 modifier, or suffer a Wound. |
| Targetless | In the Active Role, an Attack with this Trait requires no model as its target — any surface on the field may be targeted. |
| Weakened | The model's T value is halved and it loses 1 Stamina. Removed by healing or specific abilities. |
