Line of Sight is a game term in Eldfall Chronicles.

Line of Sight defines whether one model can see another. A model has LoS to another if it can draw at least one unobstructed straight line from a point on its own Hitbox to a point on the target's Hitbox.

Q: How many lines do you need to draw to establish Line of Sight?

A (meksmaks, Jun 24, 2026): You only need to draw 1 line to be considered as having LoS. The player commanding the attacking model chooses which line to draw. If you can also draw a line that passes through terrain/obstruction, apply its Cover effect accordingly.

Q: Can a model use another model (friend or foe) as Cover?

A (meksmaks, Jun 24, 2026): Models can block off LoS to one another, but they do not provide Cover per se. The Cover section begins with 'a piece of scenery' — Cover requires terrain, not models.

Q: If a model's Hitbox is only partially visible, does it have Cover?

A (meksmaks, Jun 24, 2026): If any player can draw a line between attacker and target that passes through terrain (wider and taller than the target) and the target is within 1" of that terrain, the target has Heavy Cover.

Q: Which models cannot benefit from Cover at all?

A (meksmaks, Jun 24, 2026): Models larger than Size: Large cannot get Cover.

Q: Does Cover apply if some LoS lines are clear and others pass through terrain?

A (deokel, Jun 24, 2026): You only need one unobstructed line to establish LoS. But if any player can simultaneously draw a line through terrain, Cover applies — even if another line is unobstructed. The attacking player chooses the LoS line; Cover is assessed separately from any line that passes through relevant terrain.
