Shrouded
While a model is in this State, it is represented on the field by a Shrouded token. A model in this State cannot be a target of Actions other than Perceive. Dodge does not have a target and is a valid Reaction to Shrouded models. The Shrouded State is automatically canceled if the model declares a Normal Action (other than Nothing) or Special Action. Performing an Attack in this State reveals the model, but grants the Surprise Attack Trait to its Attack. The model and its profile that are being concealed by the Shrouded token are considered secret information. The player who controls the model is not obliged to disclose the model’s identity and its profile to other players as long as the model remains in this State. Note: Shrouded models retain all of their Skills, Traits, Size, etc.; however, this information is not publicly disclosed. The model has 360° Line of Sight (LoS).

[edit | edit source]Q: Is a Shrouded model affected by Taunt Skill?
A: Yes. A Shrouded model is affected by Taunt Skill if a model with Taunt is within its Awareness or LoS. When rolling INT for Taunt, its INT stat becomes public knowledge. If it fails the INT roll, it may declare Nothing, lose an AP, but does not lose the Shrouded State.
Q: Can a Shrouded model use Taunt Skill?
A: Yes. A Shrouded model may use its Taunt Skill normally.

A: You're not targeting the model, but you can target a visible point nearby thanks to the Targetless rule, and a Shrouded model under the template will be affected. (— Dockel)
Q: Can I declare an Attack against a Shrouded enemy?
A: No. The Shrouded state restricts targeting the model with any action other than Perceive (it also can't be assisted or enchanted by friendly models), so you can't declare an Attack on it. If you declared Dodge or Perceive against a Shrouded model and it reveals itself, you may switch your Reaction. (— Dockel)
